【注意事項】

InterBase はセマフォを使用します。ご使用になっているカーネルが セマフォをサポートしていない場合は、コンフィグレーションファイルに 以下の行を追加して、カーネルを再構築してください。

        options        SYSVSEM

インストール方法

　以下は、FreeBSD版InterBaseのインストール手順です。

(1) アーカイブを解凍します。

	% tar xzvf IB_4.0_FreeBSD.tar.gz

(2) FreeBSDにスーパーユーザ（root）でログインします。

(3) InterBaseのインストールスクリプトを起動します。

	# sh ./install

(4) インストールスクリプトの問い合わせに対して該当事項を入力します。
    問い合わせの各プロンプトでは、デフォルト値が[]内に表示されます。
    デフォルト値を変更する必要が無い場合は、リターンキーのみを押して
    ください。以下は、インストールスクリプトの出力内容です。


                InterBase Installation of V4.0G
				:

    ［インストールを継続するかどうかの確認の問い合わせです。継続する
      場合は、リターンキーを押します。］


				:
This installation will create the directory tree interbase/i386_V4.0G
under the root directory most appropriate for your installation.  Enter the
root directory you wish to use [/home/hostname]:

    ［インストールディレクトリの問い合わせです。表示されているデフォルト
      ディレクトリ以外のディレクトリにインストールを行う場合には、ディレ
      クトリ名をフルパスで入力します。ただし、「/usr/interbase」は指定
      しないでください。インストーラは、/usrにインストールディレクトリを
      指すシンボリックリンクinterbaseを作成します。］


Enter Archive name [./interbase.tar]:

    ［InterBase製品のアーカイブファイル名の問い合わせです。ダウンロードした
      IB_4.0_FreeBSD.tar.gzの中の「interbase.tar」を指定します。］

    ［リターンキーを押します。］

    ［インストールが完了すると、以下のようなメッセージが表示されます。］

This completes the InterBase installation script.   Please be sure to
reboot the node that you have installed on.


(5) システムをリブートします。

  【注意】
    現在配布しているインストーラには、/sbin/ldconfig をオプションを指定せず
    実行させている箇所があるため、インストール後に /usr/lib 以外のディレク
    トリのライブラリを使用するプログラムが動作しなくなる場合があります。
    インストール後には、必ずシステムをリブートしてください。
