動作条件

インストール方法

　以下は、Linux版InterBaseのインストール手順です。

(1) アーカイブを解凍します。

	% tar xzvf IB_4.0_Linux.tar.gz

(2) Linuxにスーパーユーザ（root）でログインします。

(3) InterBaseのインストールスクリプトを起動します。

	# sh ./install

(4) インストールスクリプトの問い合わせに対して該当事項を入力します。
    問い合わせの各プロンプトでは、デフォルト値が[]内に表示されます。
    デフォルト値を変更する必要が無い場合は、リターンキーのみを押して
    ください。以下は、インストールスクリプトの出力内容です。


                InterBase Installation of V4.0G
				:
Continue with the installation? [y]:

    ［インストールを継続するかどうかの確認の問い合わせです。継続する
      場合は、リターンキーを押します。］


				:
This installation will create the directory tree interbase/i586_V4.0G
under the root directory most appropriate for your installation.  Enter the
root directory you wish to use [/home/hostname]:

    ［インストールディレクトリの問い合わせです。表示されているデフォルト
      ディレクトリ以外のディレクトリにインストールを行う場合には、ディレ
      クトリ名をフルパスで入力します。ただし、「/usr/interbase」は指定
      しないでください。インストーラは、/usrにインストールディレクトリを
      指すシンボリックリンクinterbaseを作成します。］


Enter Archive name [./interbase.tar]:

    ［InterBase製品のアーカイブファイル名の問い合わせです。ダウンロードした
      IB_4.0_Linux.tar.gzの中の「interbase.tar」を指定します。］

    ［リターンキーを押します。］

    ［インストールが完了すると、以下のようなメッセージが表示されます。］

This completes the InterBase installation script.   Please be sure to
reboot the node that you have installed on.


(5) システムをリブートします。
    または、inetd デーモンを再起動させます。

	# kill -HUP pid
                  （pid は inetd のプロセスＩＤです。）
